Hi everybody
Thank you for coming back to look at my blog. I started this blog sure that I would be able to do it at least once a week, but since I started it I had bronchitis, then a tooth that should have been a normal extraction led to surgery that then got infected. I am doing loads better but am now in the middle of dance festivals with my 12 year old daughter. So needless to say I have not done as much works as I would have liked or participated in challenges. Hopefully after the next few weeks I will have more time. Enjoy what I have put up and I would love to hear your comments
GC94 Office suppllies
This is a canvas I have done for the challenge. I was actually trying the background technique. I Painted the canvass the attached the image, which I downloaded from Adopt a Ancestor. I then covered the parts of the image that I did not want covered with Vaseline. I then took a second colour of paint and painted over the entire canvass again. When this was dry I then rubbed the paint off that was over the Vaseline. Got this technique from an amazing book called Collage discovery workshop by Claudine Hellmuth.
GC93 Get to work
This is a ATC I made for a challenge on the Gingersnap page. The paper is from K & Company and the images come from a book I bought years ago by Artsy Collage. I like the old fashioned images and it brought to mind the ladies from the past who would have done these jobs to make money for their families
Picture frames
We also did a craft at her birthday party and each girl got to decorate her own picture frame. We then took a picture of all of them with their picturesframes to put in the frame
Birthday invitations
It was my 12 year olds birthday this last week and we decided to make her invitations. I cut the papers and collected all the goodies but she made them. I think she did a really good job
