New Blogger

I am completely new at blogging.  Please be patient with my ramblings and I will only be posting once a week.  So here goes.  I am a mother of 3.  They are 11, 21, 24, so the are all older and although the 11 year old keeps me very busy with her dance schedule and school I do find I have more time for doing art.  I am doing painting classes and the medium I am using is acrylic.  I will be trying oils next.  I started with pencil sketching and I must say I love it all.  Then I found mixed media, oh what heaven.  I can use all my supplies from previous crafting and my new skills with art and make fun.  I also discovered ATC, again amazing.  I am doing my first ones for my first swap and I am so excited.  I have never done journaling before so I am starting this as well.  What fun all this is.  I have not felt so motivated in a long time.  I will keep you updated with my attempts and hopefully this blog will grow with my artwork
