My other hobby

My other hobby is Reptiles, and I have had requests for some pictures, and as I have not figured out how to make a new page, I am just posting them here.  I do not keep snakes, spiders or scorpions, just the cute little guys.  Enjoy

My Easter weekend

Hi everybody, thank you for taking the time to check my cards.  I have been very busy this weekend doing cards for some swaps.  The first swap I have completed was to use my cricut.  I have had my cricut for about 2 years and honestly have never really used it.  So out it came, and did I have fun.  There are quite a few pics that I hope you enjoy.  Now I just want to use my cricut all the time, but other swaps are calling me, so I have to get busy with those, and also some mothers day cards to be done.

This is a card I did and the background paper is a sheet I got from our dollar store.  The stamp is from Michaels.  The cute images I got from Retro Cafe.  I love their images.

Weekend Easter cards

Well this weekend I made some easter cards.  The top picture on the left are small cards that I made for the ladies in my office, and idea I got from Helga at Artchix.  Thanks Helga.  3 of the cards are made using art from Artchix and the Just Hatched I did using my cricut.  I had so much fun making these.  I am really hoping to get more time to craft now that our dance festivals and my sons kiwanis is a thing of the past.   This last week I did get my first art swap cards in the mail, that was very exciting.  I love seeing what everybody does on the computer but actually being able to touch and see up close was amazing.  I will defintely be doing more swaps.  I also earned my first Gingersnap badge, which had me even more excited.  Amazing.  Have a wonderful art day!

A week of making simple cards

This week I decided that instead of getting myself very stressed out doing swaps which I am new to, that I would go back to basics, which is actually where I still am.  I seem to have dived into the deep end before getting used to the paddling pool.  So I got out my stuff and just enjoyed creating for myself.   Stamping images, colouring them in, which I have never done before.  As I did not have any markers I used what I did have which were the coloured spots from Stampin Up and my watercolour pencils.  I then cut them out and used them on cards.  I have a few more ready and will be doing some more cards this week.  I also took out my Cricut, which I have hardly ever used and got cutting.  I only have 4 cartridges but I was able to really get alot of different images cut out.  Because everybody seems to be using the die cutting machines, I felt my Cricut was obsolete before I had even tried it.  But I discovered it can really be quite versatile.  So this week, I decided to explore what I had instead of going out and spending money on new things.  Have a wonderful week crafting and I will hopefully have something to show you this week
