Frame - I used Claudine Hellmuth"s peeling paper technique when I covered the frame. I then distressed it. The word Bliss and the Butterfly are Stampin Up Stmps. The flowers I got from Retro Cafe'. The image is a Graphic 45 paper. The rest was just from my stash.
The papers are all from different sources, but mostly bought at Michaels. The image is Marci from La-La Land Crafts. I used watercolour pencils and thinners to colour. The roses I got at Michaels, the buttons from the dollar store. The butterflies are a cut from the 'Walk in my Garden' Cricut Cartridge. The sentiment is a Stampin Up stamp.
On this plaque I used Claudine Hellmuth's peeling paint technique. Paint a basecoat, attach the image, this one I got from Vintage Moth. Then run Vaseline on the places you want to show and paint another colour over top. When this is dry rub off the Vaseline. This exposes what is underneath. I recommed her book 'Collage discovery workshop" I stamped the flowers all over. This stamp is from Stampin Up. The key, keyhole and gear goodies are from Artchix. I painted them gold. The roses are actually a trim from my stash. The Butterfly is from a DCWV stack called "The Playtime Stack". Jewels are from Stampin Up. The word "Sweet" comes from my stash!
Todays entry has nothing to do with papercrafts, but I do have another love and that is art. My daughter and I have been taking art classes since last September. We started off with sketching, then acrylic paint and this last piece I did, which is a study of Lawren Harris is done in oils. This one took me ages to do and if you look closely will see there is quite a bit of work done with a palette knife. I have a few other pictures I will post soon, but I am pretty proud of this effort. Next year I start painting from my own photos so they will then be original, instead of studies.
The Gingersnap challenge asked us to use packaging materials. This container is actually a soft plastic container that I think bath stuff came in. I have had it in my art room for a long time. I have covered it with purple paper that I have also had forever. The flowers I used came from stems that I bought at Michaels, also a long time ago. The metal tag I got from Michaels on sale. I have also distressed the paper using Tim Holtz distress Inks. The wire curliques I made from some jewellery wire in my stash.
This is a layout with a picture of my daughter during her holiday in Cuba.
The paper is from K&Co - Four Seasons Stack
The paper under the photo is from the same stack and I distressed it using Tim Holtz Distress Inks
The paper clip is decorated with a flower I cut using my Cricut as the sentiment.
I have included a ribbon on the paper clip. The cardstock is the red tag with the sentiment.
My shape for this challenge is the circle cut from a 6" x 6" pad I got from the Dollar Store. Ribbon and flowers are from Michaels. I did embosws my circle using the Swiss Dots folder. I finallly got myself a Cuttlebug. The bling is from Stampin Up.
Another exciting morning. I have come in the Top 5 on the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge. We had to do Wedding Cards, using white and bells. I am so honoured to have been chosen and would like to thank the DT's for choosing my entry. I did get some cards made last night and will start posting tonight. Have a wonderful day!
I am so excited, I just saw that I was chosen as a Ginger gem again. I am so honoured and would like to thank the DT team over at the Gingersnap Creations. I have not posted anything this week but will be getting on to that as soon as I can. Just been really busy these last few days. Maybe tonight I can get some crafting in. Thank you once again and I would also like to thank all my new followers for joining me on my crafting journey. I am sure we will have loads of fun in the future.
I cut the purse from the Forever Young Cartridge. I embossed it and then made a tag from old paper I had. The chocolate has a thank you tag and bow. I think these would make really cute Thank You gifts.
This is my card again using a recipe We had to use green, stripes and buttons.
My picture is not that good by the oval is a lime green and her dress is also green.
The flowers have green stripes and there are clear buttons on the flowers. This card was again made using my cricut and as you will see with my following post is part of an order my daughter gave me. She is turning 25 and wanted funky invites for her friends. I used the cartridge Forever Young to do these.
This card was made from a recipe on the Outlawz site.
The colour combination was Red, Black and White. The paper I used was from "The Four Seasons Stack" - DCWV Inc
Ribbon had to be used, mine is just from my stash
Paper Piercing at the top next to the bow. Hope you can see it!
This is my entry for the Fathersday Challenge

Charms are from a great line at Michaels called Industrial Chic by Susan Lenart Kazmer. These are sold in the jewellery department and I always find them on sale. I love them!
Te ribbon is also from her line, and the lace is from my stash. The flower is from Prima flowers.
I would like to enter this in the following challenges

This was a fun card. I had seen this ribbon at Michaels, but did not know how I would use it! Then this challenge came, and I ran out to buy it. The watermelons are from some old papers in my stash. I did not have any punches that would work, and then I remembered this tiny bear punch. So I used this and now it is the Teddy Bears Picnic.
My aunt in South Africa lost her husband this weekend after being really ill for about 2 years. My mother, who lives with us (in Canada) has asked me to make some pretty cards, so that she can send one every week, for a few months, to my aunt. This is one of them that I did this week.
The frame is from the BLOOM Lite Cart
The flowers with buttons are from WALK IN MY GARDEN as is the hyacinth. The papers are from my stash. I used Stampin-Up inks to colour the flowers and the leaves.
Hope you like my card and would love to hear from you.
Hi everybody, I have been so busy with dance these last two weeks, that I have done no blogging and nothing else either. We are finally done, so now it is back to the fun stuff. This is my card for the Outlawz challenge, anything goes. I have used my cricut and then distressed it. Love doing these.
